Description:
Our first 2020 seminar “Theory of the Subject” focused on Alain Badiou’s book by the same name. We did a close reading of the text guided by Nina Power, Daniel Tutt, and Robert Boncardo. In this seminar, we examine the theorizing of the subject within and against the Lacanian framework: a subject beyond subject. This seminar will examine the notion of truth with and against the subject guided by leading theorists from Guattari, Peirce, Kristeva, Reinhard, Power, Gangle and Boileau.
